Crispy Potato Patties

Crispy Potato Patties - Delicious and flavorful, very crispy and made with a few simple ingredients. This easy recipe is loved by everyone.A real kid pleaser. Best made with fresh potatoes, as opposed to instant, with a stiff potato consistency.

Ingredients:

4 potatoes 
5 tsp corn flour
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 finely chopped onion
1 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp coriander powder(optional)
1 tsp chilli powder(optional)
1 tsp dry mango powder/1 tsp lime juice
salt to taste
fresh coriander leaves, chopped
oil for shallow frying 

Method:

1. Boil the potato in pressure cooker or large pot until fork tender.  Remove the potatoes from the water to cool enough to handle and mash them in mixing bowl  

 2. In a medium pan over medium-high heat olive oil. Add onions and ginger-garlic paste and saute until the onions begin to soften and turn translucent about 4-5 minutes. 
3. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder/1 tsp lime juice and saute well. Add this mixture to mixing bowl.
4. Further add corn flour and salt. also add coriander leaves and mix well.(You can also add 1 tsp chilli powder if you want this to be little hot)


5. Mash well till the dough turns soft and non sticky. Add more corn flour if there is still moisture in potato mixture. 

6.Grease your hands with oil and make a ball sized dough. further make a patties of round shape.
7. Now heat  the pan  with some oil and place the prepared patties.
8. Fry for a minute or till the base turns golden and crisp. Turn the patties and fry the other side as well until it turns golden and crispy.


9. Finally serve Crispy Potato Patties with sauce.
